    Default quick diff ???

    sorry for the question but after searching through 5000 pages of diff conversion pages on celicas and stuff i need to know weather a g series lsd out of a hilux 4wd will fit into a 2wd g series hilux
    are the axle splines the same also
    i would have kept searching but i can buy a cheap diff and need to know asap
    also could i buy a crown wheel and pinion out of a cressida or a supra and bolt it straight in

    Sorry to be of no help in the technical aspect, but if the diff is cheap and you don't want to miss out, buy it anyway and if it doesn't suit your needs you should be able to sell it easily and make your money back if not profit.

    Thats my logic with buying things, if there's an escape route and i can sell it again, then its all good

    As best I know all hilux diffs (at least between generations) are interchangable. I'm not 100% sure cause I just went to a wrecker and asked for a LSD for a hilux. There's a huge range of gear ratios from 3.8 to 4.8 to choose from. The hilux LSD also uses metal friction plates instead of fibre. Be careful when buying as the metal plates wear smooth after @50,000kms from factory and @30,000kms after being reconditioned. I'm led to believe that you can recondition the plates @4 times before they get to thin to use.
