just an update on the RT132 remote releasethat i suggested earlier. It is cable operated but would be easy to convert to electric. Also on the inside of the lid is a plastic spring that pushes it open. It will bolt directly onto the RA28 fuel door as it is held on by the key lock
    Cheers

When I relocated the flap on my KE70 ute to inside the tray, we cut the door/filler out of a Subaru Legacy wagon and welded that in. Obviously not what you want to do but the interesting bit is that a boot release solenoid from a Falcon (not sure what model, probably fairly generic though) hooked straight up to the Subaru flap. Would be worth checking how close a fit it is to whatever you adapt.

Well ive got the fuel hatch release bit working
Ive used a latch mech from a Holden Berlina and a servo from a VL boot release.

I gave up trying to make a catch for the lid this arvo when the 2nd try didnt work.
    Ill try again tomorrow.

Ill put up more info/pics when its all working.

Nah, I folded that up from some sheet steel.
I didnt think the latch on the berlina could be used easily.
