Default Best oil to use in w5x?

okay, im not sure which to use, box was rebulit 3000km or so ago. i dont mind having a slightly slower shift for better longevity as it will be taking a fair amount of torque, if the compromise has to be made.
heres a pic in case someone may be able to identify what series it is

If thats an alloy sandwich plate, then I'd say its a W55 from an SA63 Celica.
At least, thats the only car that that shifter position came from.

Ratios will tell you what box it is though.

As for the oil, I have Redline Shockproof in mine.
I can never remember if its the lightweight or super lightweight though.

its nice and thin for smooth shifts but has good lubrication qualities

looks like a steel sandwich to me.

my GX81 1ggte and w58 (or 7) had the same shifter position, also steel sandwich.

    so possibly from a GX81.

    ratios are here

Agree VMX80 nice and slippery and thinner.

Its a bit crunchy in the P51 but not too bad overall and its cheaper than some others at REPCO.

i say shockproof, have a look in the book at your local dealer as to what weight.

before i discovered redline, i always used nulon G70 with whatever oil i filled with. also in diffs
