Hi to all..
one simple question,
when a dizzy is mounted on 18RG, the vac advance diaphram
faces forwards (towards front of engine) and when engine is at TDC rotor should
be pointing towards roughly 2 o'clock(No.1). is that correct?
thanks in advance for any pointers :-)

thanks mate your a champion :-D,
I was close rotor ia at roughly 2 o'clock. reason I asked is I was suspisous of the what
the engine builder had done when they built my RG image below
photo was taken for someone else looking for a compatible thermo housing.
if you look closely right below you just see what they had done, mounted the dizzy
backwards with no1 HT lead at six o'oclock. thanks for the scans been a great help!
it has also shown that I do not have the right crank pulley either so you killed two birds
with one stone (scan)
cheers :-D
