...then you could use the other upgrade floating around (is it from you chuck?) with the 4 piston r33 caliper, the BA rotor, the MS65 hub (if you got one), the small adaptor rings and bracket, the camber top and the ra60 strut.

is not my brake upgrade, you have to give the nod to CruZida!

Also, the BA rotor is used in the MX83 strut+R33 caliper upgrade, not the MA61 upgrade.

Am not sure if an adjustable top plate wold let you dial in enough camber correction. I can't find the pics, but i recall the MA61 strut introducing massive positive camber.


RAd28: as mentioned before, i'd only be interested in 5-stud Hubs if the price was right.

hmm... ill be looking into this one again in a few months, as i currently dont have the cash but will soon... Unfortunately that means ill have to suffer the price hike, but the 15% off for 3 to 6 kits will be worthwhile, as there are at least 2 other ppl in townsville interested.

There is NO hubs sold seperatly for insurace reasons apparantly, the responce goes a little something like this:

Id be interested in a 300mm kit to suit an RT40 corona to converted to 5x114.3 and also increase track by 17.5mm a side over standard. Not sure if that fits in with this group buy however.

Okay Guys, i enquired as to the costing for 330mm brakes on the front, and a conversion for hilux rears... and this is the responce...

Wow, 330 brakes on a Celica, thats really big and will need at least 17 inch wheels, a big step up from the original 13's.
Way too much for even a circuit race car but would be very impressive.

That would mean redrawing our brackets and making them as a one off, plus there are a few different front ends over the various models.
However it can be done, starting at $1600 with smooth rotors, $1700 slotted and $1800 drilled and slotted, this includes braided hoses.

For rear discs on a Hilux diff fitted in a Celica see how we do a universal weld on design at www.hoppers.com.au/street3.htm ,this will fit the Celica rear in a similar way

These kits are $1300/$1400/$1450. Can do in 280mm for 15 inch wheels or 315 diameter for 17 inch wheels same price.

I'm interested in a front brake upgrade for my RA23, but can you summarise what parts are used (I saw something about Falcon bits) and the final cost? All the different options in this thread are confusing me.

in a nutshell, DBA 285mm rotors (smooth), PBR 2 piston slide calipers, pads, bearing, Custom made Hubs, standard rubber brakes lines, all mounting brackets, and hardware will set you back $1100 at base price, if we get more then 3, there's a 15% discount, more then 6 and it's a 25% discount.

options on top of this: 285mm cross drilled = +$100, slotted and cross drilled = +$150, braided lines = +$70, 330mm slotted and cross drilled = +$550

that make it a little easier??

that's just the front.. these guys do a 'universal' rear kit, which does require a certified welder to put a caliper bracket onto the axle housing..

yea need to increase the front track the same as the back to match the hilux diff, then run some massive offsett FWD rims..

yep, minimum 15" wheels..

will look better anyway with some 15" rims and 50 profile tyres.. not too big, not too small..

Has anyone ever tried fitting FWD strut/axle assembly to a rwd?

Assuming the balljoint is at the bottom as part of the wishbone, and the CV outer was left in the axle assy, it should work with any corolla setup. If the strut bolts onto a platform style balljoint, maybe celica/camry hubs would be better.

The offset might be a little different, but it shouldnt be that hard to do, so I cant help wonder why noone ever has?
