If you go to www.hopperstopers.com.au i think thats the web page if not do a search and it will come up they have a brake conversion which will allow you to have watever stud pattern on the front you want.
Hey Guys, Looking to convert my RA28 to 5 stud, got a hilux diff, so that's the rear taken care of, i know about the MS65 hubs, but they're not exactly available at your local wreckers, i got a set of MS85 but they'll need re-sleaving to suit, then it's not gonna be perfect... only thing i can think of is to cut them like a donut (remove the center from both MS65, and stock) then shrink fit them together, but i don't know if there'll be an enginereing shop who'll do it, and if there was it'd be big $$$$$...
anyone got any suggestions??? i'm getting desperate...

love that idea... i've e-mailed them enquiring about the product, if anyone has any questions let me know and i'll pass them on...
i think it's fair to change this to a "Group Buy EOI", agree?

If we are going for ma65 style hubs, then yes, i second that motion.i think it's fair to change this to a "Group Buy EOI", agree?
fwiw, i contact hopper stoppers mid-late last year about custom made hubs - they thought that $380-400 for a set would be a likely price.
I think that locating hubs (hard, and getting impossible) or re-sleeving some other hubs might be cheaper?
However, a bulk order to them might drop that price considerably.
If you were getting new hubs manufacturered, you should also consider changing the offset on the hub to suit cheaper rims (e.g. falcon or skyline run something around +35).
Let me know if you get a decent price per set.
how do MA65 hubs compare with RA28 hubs? totally different?
i've enquired as to the viability of a group buy with Hopper Stoppers, still awaiting a reply. i'll see if they can still keep a deal if we get assorted hubs..

I have the kit installed on my car, well basically the kit was desinged on my car kit is worth $1200 or there abouts but that is with a 4 stud hub i think a 5 stud hub was cheaper but the prices might have increased i think. As far as perfomance of the brakes well let me say the car stops on a dime, providing you treat the brake pedel properly and dont lock em up. Very impressed with my new found stopping power. Futhermore to this the calipers are an alloy caliper and give you basically less unsprung weight than the hilux peugot disc conversion and genrally is a bigger pad and disc also. You will need corona XT130 struts for this conversion also and will also have to reverse the caliper. Here is what the brake looks like

Have a search for MA61 5 stud conversions, everything regarding the fronts is relevant to you (in particular ed's site). Ed's site (or a search on www.gimmiecarparts.com.au) will tell you that RA23 hubs have the same bearings as MA61, and MS65. In regards to offset I have no idea thoOriginally Posted by RAd28

I forgot to mention if you wanted to use the hoppers kit on a celica you need a XT130 strut as the bearings and stub axle in a 23-28 are to small and by the looks of it Mx6x to. This kit gave me a offset of about 5mm further out than what it was.
so the MA61 might be an easy 5 stud conversion for the RA28, if you were to go with something like the RA60 rotors?
but the hoppers kit would be more suited to go along the lines of the peugeot/hilux conversion... except your using hoppers parts... therefore only the corona struts are needed as well?
if that's the case, awesome... 'cause i've already got the corona struts..

no, they use the same bearings.Originally Posted by Fattony
The mounting pointsfor calipers are wildy different on the two struts.
You get the increase in offset from the disk hat sitting over the hub instead of bolting to the back like the factory disks.
PM me if you end up really stuck.
