    Default Quick Dyno Tuning question

Just a quick question about dyno tuning, does having a speed limiter effect tuning at all or does it really make no difference?
Same thing with power runs, would it be harder to do or again make no difference?

Just kinda curious about this, Thanks to anyone that can help.

    Cheers
    Chris

If you search "dyno results" i think the graphs show which gear the pulls are done in.

If its fourth gear and you hit your speed cut ............that will be the end of your power run.

your post might need to be-"how to bypass speed cut on bla bla motor" your tuner should bypass speed and fuel cut for you easily.Definitely sort this out before your dyno time. You are on the right track.Best of luck.

usually they will just use a gear where peak power is reached below the speed cut.

depends on the ratio's! no point in running 1-1 when your 1-1 gearing is 200km/h+ etc.

they can calibrate depending on the ratio to give the correct reading

    most 5 speeds 1:1 is 4th

Yeah its in my celsior, so 1UZ with 4 speed auto so the runs are done in 3rd gear and it wasnt that far off hitting the speed cut (about 5-10km) last dyno day, So im just wondering if it will cause any problems. I should have asked when i called up to make the booking but completly slipped my mind until just the other day.

    Cheers
