    Default 16v 200mm vs 20v Blacktop Lightened 212mm FLYWHEEL

    So today I took the 16v out of my car and was wondering how much a difference there would be between the standard chunker 16v flywheel and this 20v blacktop one I have from my Blacktop.

    So this is what I found.

    16v = 6kg~
    20v = 5kg~

    Although there is 1Kg difference, It seems to look like the 20v one would have much more advantage over the 16v one.

    What I really want to know is, is it worth getting a new pressure plate and clutch plate, as the one on my 16v is fairly knew, having the 20v flywheel faced, put together and onto my blacktop for the sake of 1kg less?

    May the flooding of answers begin!

    just keep using the 16v stuff until it wears out, then consider your options.

    the 212mm is going to have clamping force superior to the 200mm with assosciated surface area. the weight at standstill is also reflected proportionately as rotational weight and will help in high revving.
