you can also get some one to hold one axle, if you cant turn the other, thats LSD. if you can then non LSD
How to test a g-series lsd
Just picked up a g-series lsd diff. Wandering if there is a way of knowing if it's an lsd with it out of the car.

If the clutches are warn it might not lokc up pull the center out and see if it has clutch pack or just spider gears that the only sure way to tell

Yup. If the diff is out of the car it's easy to take the rear cover off, then you can tell for sure what's inside.
