OK I have some after market headlights for my corolla (AE102 Seca), Now the standard lights are H4 Bulb, which is a dual element for low and high beam in one bulb... Now the new headlights use a 9005 and 9006 for high and low beam both being single element.

Now the problem is that Toyota has used switched ground for the headlights and common power.

Now what i want to be able to do is wire up the headlights so that low beam is on all the time (when low beam or high beam is selected) and high beam is on only when high beam is selected. How can i do this? Can anyone provide me with a circuit diagram of how to wire it...

I am quite electrically capable, but i am just getting a bit confused with the use of switched grounds...

Also once i do that I'd also like to get my spot lights working again, i have tried using a relay switched by the negative (other end to the + of battery), but i couldn't find last time i looked which wire was the high beam wire... I did have them working previously but then they stopped working, i think it might have been when i tried wiring up the new headlights last time... and i think also connected to the same problem is the high beam dash indicator has stopped working... the bulb is not blown... so i think THAT might be an auto-elecie job... But i am pretty sure i am capable of getting the spotties working and the new headlights working too...
