King springs have a good range of linear springs.
hello, im looking for a rear pair of linear rate springs to go with my front coilover setup. does anyone know a good place to get them from in NSW. i know k-mac can make custom springs for about $175 a pair, but it was my understanding that a linear rate spring is alot cheaper to make than progressive.
any help would be great.
King springs have a good range of linear springs.
your not wrong, i didnt even think about that considering i can get em for welll cheap!
thanks mate
just checked online with king then, and i think they only make coilover type linear springs. im looking for a linear spring to fit in the standard location (like the TRD) but im sure people in AUS can make then up for extremely cheaper, it's only a linear spring with a set rate, it's not like 1 brand can perform noticably better than another.
king can actually make custom springs to your specs - generally around 2 weeks delivery. however you have to be very careful with what you spec, because custom stuff cannot be returned if you stuffed up

Fulcrum Suspension are in Queensland, so i dont think they are bringing them in at all. For that matter though, Fulcrum are tops to deal with, but might be a bit of a distance.Originally Posted by Soarer_D00D

i think im just going to go with k-mac. $175 per pair any rate, and height, takes 2 days turn around. i have to double check what the apexi spring rates are for the front before i put in the order though.
175 a pair for known quality custom springs is a good price, i have got them for cheaper before, and i won't be going cheap again.
that 175 retail, so i'll be getting them cheaper. i was just askin the Q because a linear spring is just a normal spring, and therefore should be very cheap and easy to source. the 175 includes if you want progresive or linear. and i've never had or seen a problem with any of there springs. after all, it's only a spring![]()
I had some custom springs made at "Browns Spring Works" in Melbourne, it takes about a week to get as many sets as you like made, they were $100 a pair.
You need to supply the following info:
Internal Diameter (ID)
Spring rate required
Spring length required
Weight on that particular corner of the car
e.g.1000kg RWD car with approx 50/50 weight transfer would be 250kg on each corner.
Hope this helps
