    Default Foged pistions

    Any one know of a good brand of pistions im doing a engine rebuild on my 22re soon to be a 22ret and is there any good after market ecus for the 22ret

    I think you may be out of luck as far as getting any performance parts in Australia for the 22re. I was going to do the exact same thing to my 22re but it was going to cost a heap more than just simply getting a 1ggte and the power output wasn't going to be worth the money.
    On another note there is a company called LCEngineering over in America that know these engines back to front. They may have forgies.

    Any ECU will run a 22RE mate. All depends on budget.

    You can get forged Pistons from Serco for 22re but your lookig around the $1000 mark for a set.

    yea im doing a fair bit of custom work to the engine im making the header with a mate so any ecu good cool well cheers guys for this

    Sorry to be a bit OT but whats the attraction of a 22RE compared to something like an 18RGE, turbo or otherwise?

    Performance wise, there is none. However price and parts availability would be cheaper than 18R-G components.

    There's quite a few dudes in the USA who have built/modded some quite respectable 22R engines.
