Default MA61 Heater core useing RA60 core

I have just done this, as the heater core in my MA61 was stuffed. you only need a couple of tools. 1 butane pencil torch, flux & solder.
Heat the elbow fitting up, with the torch & twist about 110 degrees, to line up with the old heater core, add some new solder. i had to replace a small pice of foam, as i burnt it as i was doing this job,( got foam tape from a hardware shop )

MA61 heater core onthe left RA60 on the right

    butane torch ( from Dick smith's $6.80 )

    Finished job.

Hmmm, I'm surprised they're different at all. Good info though, my heater core is stuffed so I may need to do something similar! It's such a PITA to get at the damn thing though.

The M & G motor's have the heater out-let, on the driver's side, where as the RA60's R motor, both in & out are on the left hand side.
