Lol! Myself and my cousin will be organizing a nice fat cruise within a month or so

yeah, it'd be good to have mingled a little more, i should take that advice however, i stayed pretty quiet myself... mostly cos i didn't know anyone, but it shouldn't matter, if people continue to goto meets, then gradually all will get to know eachother and feel more relaxed to be themselves...

as for the invite to the classic celica club... yeah i tried, definately didn't get much of a response from it. just excuses as to the travel and how long the day was. a similar response i got was from ozcelica, they didn't come cos they feel that attending a function with toymods that their club would be overrun by toymodders.

however, cccv now have a cruise on the 26th which is almost identical as most of you might already know of... perhaps people from toymods could goto their meet and mingle a little bit, then next time the toymods one is up, you will know someone from the other site and have a better chance of them comming along next time.

i will definately be attending, can't wait to see other people's 22's all together, will have to borrow a camera this time for sure...

I had a chat with MotoMan from the Toyota Owners Club of Australia, who were invited along to the cruise by a post from weaponx on their forums asking for numbers to make it a "big turnout" etc..

It seems that they felt like outsiders and were unwelcome at the event, nobody wanted to talk to them etc. From the toymods perspective I suppose it seemed that they were sticking together and didn't want to mix with us, and it was perhaps thought that they were a bit stuck-up.

I see this as a misunderstanding and quite unfortunate, we are all toyota owners, whether our cars are old or new... or even re-badged. Having had a chat with Dave (MotoMan) it's obvious that they share the same passion for toyota's as we do and like to modify their cars, all of the sportivo's had atleast cold air intake mods and were lowered. Remember also that these cars are less than 2 years old... there's not much you are going to do to a car when it's that young, especially with such a nice engine as the 2ZZ, which hammers quite nicely in stock form as it is, I'm sure Jezza can attest to this.

I'd like to see them at one of the future meets that we hold and perhaps have more of a chat with em about the newer toyotas.

It was a fantastic cruise, wish I'd had a passenger to take more photo's, heck even a stereo would have been sweet... let's be a bit more open to people next time we invite them to come along eh?

Our first " meet point " was basically lunch - i believe they went their own way instead of enjoying the lunch with the rest of us ..

Id be happy to see them along to any other meet we organise - they just need to maybe make the presence known

Yeah it wasn't just us being anti-social, they are as much to blame... Anyway, FINALLY found my camera. Seems like Jim took more videos than photos and used up the memory really quick, and the videos turned out shit anyway... Bit of a shame, only have a few photos.

Dude, I woulda woken up, stumbled out to my car, gotten into my 'comfy' integra seat (see not so comfy) and just fallen back to sleep.
