might be able to only make it for the 1st half of the day and turn back after the lorne lunch... mates got his bday party... (bit l8 on the invites i think), but yeah... i'll split the day up and then he won't have a cry about me not being there...
anyways, managed to borrow a handheld uhf thing...
and yeah, ta22 is all good to go... just replaced the damaged door on the side with a straight door, although color differs and the rear panel is still damaged... should have that fixed soon though.

Cruise is tomorrow![]()
Weather forecast for now looks like this:
Sunday
Fine. Mainly sunny. Min 13 Max 27
Do we have an unwritten rule about any 'hero' behaviours? Personally I don't think I will tolerate them. If continued, I will probably just turn back.

Re hero rule - personally my thoughts are the same - have fun but dont risk the rest of us ..
if we have dickheads out there expecting this to be a " tofu dori battle " or a race , then dont bother coming .. By all means enjoy the roads - but respect your fellow cruisers
ATM its a little drizzly here - but its expected to clear this afternoon

i forgot who it was i talked to about GOR, but they mentioned that lately there has been police monitoring the area... surely someone here would know?
re hero rule - what stu said![]()
nods - they are monitoring it - they caught a large numer the other day - in a semi " civvy clothed " camera setup .. Ie two officers , side of the road , in plain clothes , with a camera , informing a pursuit car further down the road
So advice is - 80kmh along the road - stick to it

I really don't think we'll have much trouble with hero's. Ofcoarse there will be the occasional line-up at the lights and see who gets to 100kmph first, or a little squeal on each take off, but even me, probably the youngest cruiser in the group, will be on my best behaviour and even I won't tolerate people making idiot's of themselves.
James, can you please bring around the timing light tonight if you have time? Not only for my car, but Jim got the exhaust running in the ae86 (sounds suprisingly MAGNIFICENT, thanks again for the welds) and will most likely need his engine timed a bit better. Also what time will we be meeting and where will be meeting man? Your work or something? Seems like a good halfway spot, close to frankston fwy too.
Kev.
RIP Kev. You'll be missed.

edit: however just did a last mintute spot check under the bonnet, water in radiator, oil all good etc... and my brake fluid was bone dry, which is strange, since only 1 week ago, i topped it up...
i think i'll be taking the bottle of brake fluid with me on this trip... i'm sure nothing will happen, but yeah... what the?!
