i will bring some piccies soon..its nothing special, no lift kit or anything, just the stock forbie with the turbo diesel engine hehe, been up to qld and down to melb and stuff in it (pilot driving - the little vehicle with flashing lights following a wide load on a truck )

I should be there too. I'll be getting my car retuned after fitting lightly ported heads and 265 degree cams the week before so hopefully I don't hit any snags.
Mate at the moment there really are very few restrictions. This is mostly because we don't want to discourage people from trying things out. As long as it's based on a Toyota engine and the car is safe to run then it should be fine. The only real restrictions are that it can't drip anything on the dyno but that's more because it's a pain in the arse cleaning up and makes it more dangerous for falling over.Originally Posted by IN 05 NT
In future if we find that we grow to the extent that we end up with specialist dyno queens coming along and dominating then we'll need to look at running a demonstration class much like they do at the summer nats.
No danger of that with dry ice, it skips the liquid state, straight from solid to gas.Originally Posted by Joshstix

bahaha -GT- = pwnd
i should be there, good fun day, hopefully my power will go up again, not down further...hopefully my manifold won't have loose bolts to the turbo this time
also considering a couple of small changes if i get around to them, tho i have my doubts lol

My 3S did that recently. Although lose is a fairly understated term for it. One of the nuts was at least 1cm up the stud from the flange. But that was the good one, one of the other studs had actually managed to come out of the manifold. No wonder boost response was getting slightly tardyOriginally Posted by Roundy
lol cone lock nuts ftw!
before i used the cone lock nuts i lost all the nuts off the manifold to turbo on the way home one day fooking loud
however one of the bolts i use needs to be short cause otherwise i couldn't get it into the flange cause the manifold is in the way, which means i can't use a cone lock nut on it
how did you work it with studs, seems like a good option for me
