    Question Turfing the Auto

    anyone know about converting a Twin Turbo Soarer to manual? What pedal box, any electrical changes, what box to use etc..

    well, mine is the JZZ30 but a mate has a GZ20 so info about both would be great. As well as any other mods which could be of significant improvement perhaps?

    GZ20 will need either GZ20 or G/M/JZA70 pedals/lines/console.
    GZ20 will need a W58 (or 55/57) with a 1G bellhousing. Shifter position will be rear most.
    You'll need a 1GGTE flywheel and clutch, and a GA70 or MA70 nonturbo manual driveshaft.
    You can probably do this conversion for anywhere between $600 and $1500, depending on how good you are at finding bargains, and whether you use new or second hand parts.


    JZZ30 is different.
    You'll need a JZZ30 manual clutch pedal (not sure if JZA80 fits, do some research).
    You can use a W58 with a 2JZGE bellhousing/flywheel and uprated clutch. Will need custom driveshaft.
    OR you can use an R154 from either a JZA70 or JZZ30 with a 1JZGTE flywheel and clutch (yes, they differ greatly to the 2JZGE stuff).
    Not sure if all R154's fit the JZZ30, or only the later ones (JZX90/JZX100) as some had the remote shifter.
    Expect $1500+ for the W58 conversion (as 2JZGE parts are rarer) and $3000+ for the R154 conversion.

    soarercentral.com forums are good basis for JZZ30 stuff.
