T3 turbo...running it upside down....? 1ggte probs...

hey guys just fiited the t3 turb to the manifold,

and teh mani is a low mount,...and didnt occur to me that the retun line would be on top and pickup below...

is there any trouble of having it setup like this?...ie will the oil pool in the return line

im completely confused here

any help greatly apreciated.

Yeah, that would cause really REALLY big problems!
You need to rotate the exhaust housing round so the core is the other way around, with the feed at the top & drain at the bottom. There should be 6 or so bolts around the turbine housing you can loosen & then the whole thing will rotate. Do the same with the compressor housing to line up the wastegate actuator (if it's internally gated).

is this a new turbo?
if not its prob gonna be a PITA to clock the exhaust housing.
when i did mine i ended up taking it off and cleaning up the edge a bit. it just rusts and jams. still wont spin nice n easy.
just lettin you know so you know what to expect...
i also managed to snap a bolt off in the housing

jeeze i hate rust!

a bit of heat and a few quick taps of a hammer should loosen it a bit i'd imagine?

A turbine housing would take alot of heat before it expanded enough to make it any easier I'd imagine.
If you have troubles, soak it in penetrene (really good stuff) for as long as possible, then use a hammer handle in the inlet of the turbine housing while the centre is in a vice. Just be careful of the turbine wheel obviously.

Plenty of penetrating liquid and a little gentle use of the hammer are your friends. If you're not confident in your abilities though, take it to a turbo shop, and they'll likely charge you stuff all, while giving it the once over at the same time.
