You can just run a surge tank in the boot instead of swapping the whole fuel tank, this saves you the hassle of changing the actual tank and gives you the benefits of a surge tank too.

Use the stock pump as a lifter pump, then run an external pump from the surge tank to the engine, a return line from the engine to the surge tank and then just plumb an overflow line into the top of your existing tank.

Surve tanks are cheap as chips too. You can pick em for under $100 +fittings these days.

    Stock pump is mechanical in'it??

Also, it takes about 5 minutes to swap tanks on a Celica, if you can rope in someone to help hold it you really have no issues.

RA65 tank is definitely the way to go, there's no need for surge tanks or external fuel pumps or other mess - just plug and play!
