Default Drive shaft uni joint replacements

Through some retarded angry driving I managed to bust two uni joints in my driveline.
Its a custom two piece driveshaft, I've destroyed the uni's connecting the rear section to the front section and the rear section to the diff. The rear shaft is only slightly banged up, and there was very little undercar damage. Thankfully the diff and gearbox appear to be ok.

Whats the best kind of place to get this fixed? Whats left of the old joints will need to be cut off the shaft and new ones welded. How much should I expect to pay for this stuff?

    Cheers guys.

I recently had a uni go in my car and the price just to fix that one was around $210 at a local engineering shop. A specialist driveline place was around $250, a bit more I think. Local eng. shop worked well for me, did a great job and cost alot less than a specialist.

    That should help I guess.

Cost me $210 recently at a local eng. shop, quote from a specialist was about $250, so i got it done at the eng. shop. Did a good job as far as I can see and cost alot less than the specialist. Just make sure they use 'Hardy Spicer' (something like that) uni-joints.

    Anyone else...?
I've had suggestions that I may need to have the prop shaft remade from scratch, does this sound right?
The yokes are welded to the prop shaft and are damaged. I would've thought cutting them off, fitting new ones and balancing is all that would be required. Should I expect to have to take in the front section of the shaft too so they can balance the whole lot?
No-one seems willing to quote over the phone. I just want an idea of what needs to be done so when I go in I don't get screwed over.
Someone here must do this kind of work?
    thanks.
