Hi,
Yep, it was a grand day. As usual the organises did a top job.
It's always good to see the mythical white TA22 show its face - plus that yellow RA28 that blows smoke like it's steam train. Talking of smoke, Lambo fix your engine. I thought I was in an oil-fog following you down Silverwater Road.

Just another big thanks to the guys & girls that spent there time in organizing the day & making sure it all came together. And congratulations to all the winners, of all the categories as there was some very nice cars there.
If it feels good "DO IT" Unless it harms others.(or upsets the RTA)
Enjoy what you have To Day,cause you can't take it with you.

Was the turnout bigger and better than last year ?
Yep I'd say it was bigger than last year... no cops or toolage at this one either.
Although Al Palmer did get hit by some woman in the carpark... hope there wasn't too much damage Al!
Now i feel worse that i missed it!
Oh well i guess it gives me another 12 months to make the Gt4 even more modified to display huh ?

well it will give something to look at to show what was done with the motor that came out of that car!
And any car would be hard pressed to be better than the Gt8 ( though i know one that will be IMHO! ) - so we might as well all stay home !
Or go to your place and drink all your beer !
Just a brief rundown of the day... the official report will be out by the end of the week.
This year has grown and exceeded more than we expected! By the end of registration we had taken 69 entrants and filled the RedYard (cinema) carpark to the edges! It was a hectic morning, but set to be a great day.
With Toyota's ranging from the classic's right through to the modern day, the eclectic selection, made for some very interesting viewing. And with some quality cars there, it made the judging that much harder. This year each of the major awards was accompanied by an encouragement award (donated by Al Palmer), which helped to recognise more of the outstanding entrants competing for the title.
There was plenty of food and drinks available from the shops upstairs, and while it was an absolutly stunning day, plenty of shade was found under the trees and undercover carpark.
The day finished up with the awards ceremony at 2.30pm and a good number of entrants driving away with something. Everyone left at 3.00pm in a nice orderly fashion, concluding what was a great day out for all involved!
THANKS to....
The Sponsors - RedYard for the venue, Hills Life Newspaper for the trophies, The Exhibition Company for the Banner - they all help make Toyota Fest possible!
The Entrants - without all of you, we wouldn't be able to have such a successfull event!
All the volunteers we had throughout the day, who helped with everything from selling raffle tickets to setting up / packing up and registration. You all know who you are, thanks very much!!
And of course... hats off to the Board Members who sacrifice their spare time (and sleep) to make the day another huge success.
I hope everyone who entered and spectatored had a great time, and we'll hope to see you again next year, same time!
Thanx,
Dav
