a custom maifold will be necessary, which will cost you, depending on what it's made from.$$$$
Hey guys,
I am looking at fitting quads to my 3SGE and was looking int 20v ones, silver or black top ones I am not sure. Will these be big enough to supply it with air?

TRD sell the manifold you are after. It is a beautiful piece of work - milled from a single lump of aluminium.
I think Bill said the silvertops are 43mm and blacktops are 45mm. Not wanting to say too much but they'll be fine for an otherwise stock engine.
Glenn can chat about this a bit more.
TRD=$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
although i guess they would have put a lot of testing into it's development.

would http://www.efihardware.com/ have manifold/hardware to suit?
Some time ago I flow benched some AE101 quads, I did put the findings on toymods, each throttle flowed 256cfm of air, for combined total of 1024cfm, I think that should be enough.
talk to trd3sg on here also - he is doing this conversion onto his gen III 3s-ge as well, running a microtech to control everything, i believe he also has a shot of NOS involved in his n/a monster.

You'd think so, but by the time you faff around making one, it actually works out cost effective.Originally Posted by joecoolmk2

I think trd3sg was adapting a set of quads off a motorbike for his Gen3?
Meridian Motorsport make bolt-on quads for the Gen 3 3SGE,

Bit pricey for my old ST162 me thinks.I thought about making up a set myself (I have access to machines, CNC etc.) but by the time I paid for materials, components and time on the machines (including test pieces) I reckon i'd only save a couple hundred dollars, THEN i'd have to go through the process of testing and refining it... it just wouldn't be worth doing all the hard work when it's all been done for you.
Can someone explain to me what N/A has over turbo/supercahrged?
Cheers,

Instant crisp throttle response.
Plus the fact that you know it's 'pure'. Someone once said that a car with forced induction is like a chick with silicon implants, sure it's impressive, but you know it's not real..Originally Posted by gianttomato
