    Default Alloy Radiator Repairs

    hey people,

I have a custom alloy radiator that is leaking from the Fins...

just wondering if anyone can recommend a place that does good quality work on radiators.

I have looked through yellow pages... just seeing if anyone has had good experiences with a shop...

    around the Sutherland shire area...

    cheers

Mmm I would have to have a look but getting around is hard mate..It really depends on the age of the radiator and where the leak is coming from and wether we can get to it with any amount of heat without fucking up the rest of the rad, ontop of that for the farking around you'd be looking at a good couple of hundred bucks,as an estimate, we dont have the capacity just yet but these guys do a bit of work for me so have a chat with Nick or Gary,They are freaks with welding infact I often ask them to leave their masks on when im there

    All aluminium welding services
    Unit 4 10B Childs Rd
    Chipping Norton 2170
    9755 1264

best of luck, hey if its going to cost you a shit load have a chat to me and we may be able to work out a rad cheap to help you out as I have a couple of blanks that I want to get rid of.

    cheers

if its the tubes that are leaking then no chance of welding it. the tubes are .5mm thick and to do alloy you need an AC pulse so it cant be consentrated enough.
the easiest option for you would be to use JBweld or liquidsteel (spelling) or some product along those lines and cut the offending tube at the plate then fill the remaining holes.
    cheers
