Ok, Christian just booked our room, although we wern't told what number. I'm excited as this is our 1st Nationals. I have heard all about them (& seen the photo's) from previous years so i can't wait!!
Not too sure if Christian will be entering the Mark II in the S & S but I have a feeling he wont be able to resist the drags.

Looking forward to stopping at Mt Panorama too- last time we were there we gave it a flogging down Conrod Straight. We will abide by the club rules this time though~ Promise.

    Hi,

Dunno, this is going to be my first one. However, now that I'll soon be unemployed I can't get the car spruced up so I'm seriously thinking about not going. It's something that I need to give some thought about.

If I were to go, I'd leave Sydney on the Friday, stay overnight, enter & check-out the show & shine, then depart Saturday arvo. I've got family things happening on Easter Sunday, so I need to be back in Sydney.

Generally we have an "organised" cruise to the nats where we stop off at Bathurst for an observation lap and some photo's.

On the way back it tends to be every man for himself.

my on advice for doing laps at bathurst for ppl with ra28s or ta22s is dony do 160 down conrod strait with your bonnet unlatched , cus it will be sitting about 2 foot up and you cant see where the hell your gonning , and all every one eles can see is a green 28 and a white 22 coming flying down conrod with bonnets in the air , lol
me thinks we might try faster this yeah to push bonnet back down , lol

In theory only of course We all know that sort of thing would never happen on a Toymods Cruise.........

    River,

The Toyota Nationals is really all about the social for most of us. I wouldn't worry to much about weather you have had the old girl spruced up or not. Either way it will be one of the sweetest Classic Celica's there as you just can't go past that GT Goodness.

Thanks for your words, El Presidente. I'm still hoping to have the car painted with Cherry Blossoms and other traditional Japanse flowers by the time the Nats are on. Also, she should have the NOS fitted and the rear tubbed out so I can do some sik drfting and dragging.

    Stu

We drive up friday do a lap of bathurst, check in for the dinner and have a good social night friday, then some how get out of bed and get to the show and shine.

I'll probably do the usual ansd get friday nights sleep on sat at the show and shine I have everyother year.

Sat arvo this year I am planning on checking out the zoo.
I have never been so I think the plan is load up the wagon and go for a nice slow cruise thru the wilderness.

Car is still on track to be there
