2.6mm should not be an issue.
I'm looking at brake upgrades for my KE20, and have looked into the option of Magna discs and Commodore calipers.
My issue is that commodore discs are 25mm thick and Magna discs are only 22.4mm thick.
Will this difference in thickness effect the calipers? They will obviously need to go out a further 2.6mm to compensate for the thinner disc, but is this likely to be an issue?
Is the solution just to change pads while they still have a bit of meat left on the pads?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers, Ian

I had this setup on one of my ae86s, no problem with the disc thickness. Standard Comodore pads will take a lot of km to wear on a light car.
2.6mm should be fine
Most calipers leave a bit of space for anti rattle clips and just general clearance.
i take it your talking about the VT twin piston calipers?
25mm is the MINIMUM thickness of the VT disc, if your read the DBA gatalauge carefully it actually states the thickness of the disc is 28mm.
as with the Magna Disc, the minimum thickness is 22.4mm but the original thickness of the disc is actually 24mm.
so really there is going to be about 2mm each side of the pad in theory
Which shouldnt be much of an issue anyway, since the piston is normally designed to be just shallow of the bore anyway and the bore normally has some leeway in there.

Someone in this forum or the old forum has that set up.
He had it on a KE15 with 4AG.
This topic was covered in the old forums. If i remember someones friend made brackets so this conversion could be done to KE**
