    cheers Chuck.
The difference between the 2TG and my current 22R flywheel is only a couple of mm, 3mm at best. It could be that the clutch plate surface area might be even smaller so I can't see why the 2TG wouldn't work (given that it is the correct diameter, centre opening and bolt hole spacing). I understand the 1GGZE will put out considerably more power though which is probably what is being referred to and I appreciate that.

I don't drive it hard nor do I ride the clutch, and given that I'm having such a tough time finding either a 1G or a 3TGTE flywheel I am running out of options - I need to get this vehicle back on the road. I don't want to buy another flywheel eg. 3Y, 4Y and have to go drilling holes in it to make it fit.

EXASPERATION is the current name of the game. I'm really doubting all this talk about how easy this conversion is supposed to be

    Regards

    Peter

[edit] I finally found a 1G flywheel thanks to a Toymods member.

Or use a 1st or 2nd Gen 1G - I think (amazing for sure) the difference between these two and the 3rd gen is that the 3rd Gen has a larger friction area than the early ones and a corresponding different clutch kit.

Keep asking engine importers if they're willing to sell you a flywheel - if not, getting one made from steel is another option.
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.

    spot on
    gen1 and 2 run a 225mm friction plate area (same as 3TGTEU)
