Default Need some help from you guys auto to manual

Hi guys, I just want to see if any of you guys know how much I would be looking to pay to get an auto TA22 changed to a manual, I am not a big guy and I wouldnt be able to do it myself. How much is a reasonable price for a mechanic to charge to do this if I have the geear box and all the other parts necessary?
Thanks alot, all the hlep is appreciated.

so you have all the parts you need?

it took me and craigd (well more like carig with me passing tools) over 10 hours to convert my ta22. but we ran into some problems (eg sheering the heads off bolts etc).

but the point is its not a quick job.

I reckon your best bet is to see if anyone one the forums is willing to help you for say beer + $$$

im doing said conversion to my MA70.

total time to do it about 2-3 hours, but i had the engine out, so i was able to sit in the bay and hook up the slave, lines and master.

inside, its just a matter of a few bolts.

as my car was stock, unmodified, and fairly new (1990) the bolts werent any problem at all, but im guessing the TA22's, as kugzs' said, are a little more worn, my old one sure was!

main thing i reccomend is DONT use a cut down auto brake pedal, use the manual brake pedal, as it was made for use with the manual pedal box.

the clutch pedal in my MA70 came out with 2 nuts, and 2 bolts, the first bolt fixing the top of the pedal to underside of the dash, the second slid into the pedal and master cylinder rod, and has a pin through it holding it in.

no hard labour about it, just a few tools, like a jack, axle stands, and 10,12, and 14 mm sockets and spanners.
