I haven't heard of any 45DCOEs around going for a reasonable price, but i haven't really been looking either.

    With kind permission of Scottsta22.

Mild 2T-G with mild cams and over-size pistons.

Shows how stock jetted 40mm Solexes could be at their limit. A change to the next size up Outer Venturi, removal of the Internal Sleeve and a couple of sizes up on the Main Air Jet and 100hp will be there for the taking.

That dip is most likely a combination of lengths of intake and exhaust tracts, and valve timing. It's that "resonance" thing lots of people talk about and it would move in the rev range as jetting is changed.

    Regards

    Rodger

4AGE AFM(USA) based - 20V silvertop shortblock with 10.3 to 1 OEM pistons fitted in place of the 20V slugs. Mildly ported TVIS head, Web grind 294 camshafts, RC 225cc injectors, KBD Tri Y header, all stock eletronics

hp is decent... but the torque curve is pretty flat... she pulls wonderfully from 2500 to 7500

Thats a good figure from a 4AGE especially non 20v. Its even more impressive with the flat torque curve (as you mentioned.)

My standard reconditioned 2TG (no numbers on head) with Twin Solex and extractors

Here it was on the dyno: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlyvNfUcQe4

Then one day I installed 50mm QTB matched ported to the standard manifold. EFI managed by Delco. No other additional mechanical modifications.

Here is the QTB's at work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcRZ1E8uiXI

A week later it was retuned after we changed the injectors and it made just under 90rwkw at 7000RPM but the tuner didn't print out the sheet for me - Arrg!

What amazed me was how the torque curve behaved. It is VERY torquey in the upper revs.
