w58 to 1jz auto harness

I have a 1jz auto harness/comp running a jzz30 chassis with a w58. Everything works but the reverse lights. I manages to turn them on from the yellow power wire from the auto shifter plug to the red/black reverse from the auto shifter plug. The reverse lights are on all the time but I cannot get them to shut off.I tried the plug with no luck. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

On your w58 there should be a switch with 2 terminals that close when you have shifter in reverse, hook your powered wire to one side and lights to the other and it should all work.
