yeah same, mine really isn't a fan of half temp either, between norm operating temp and when that CSV or whatever opens it likes to stall, only lasts about a minute though so its ok. but yeah above 2000rpm its pretty happy

EDIT: it just dosen't die it "pulseates" reving from about 500 to 1000 untill you rest you foot on the gas.

Well i checked all the cables and they are fine with no play. Also checked the butterfly, it is in perfect condition with no shaft play. Everything in there seems to be fine.

Just like to say once again, the shudder only starts to pulsate when its comming under load and generally starts to spool around the 3000rpm mark. It does this most noticbley up till 4000 but kinda dies at full noise. I think thats just cause the engine is reving its tits off and we cant hear it as well. It doesnt happen when free reving.

The sparg plugs are in top noch condition and are gapped correctly.

Also to clarify, its not the car shuddering, just the accelerator pedal. There also seems to be some creaking noise that accompanies the shudder. They are like playing a duet and pissing me off! BUT it does seem that the power can pulsate whith the shudder.

Maybe i'll just bite the bullet and get a mechanic to look at it.

So is it more noticablly heard or felt?

I once had a serging problem and took it to an auto guy and when for a drive with him, he told me the problem and it cost me nothing, so i would take it down to someone. Don't book it in just drive down and get some free advice.

You could always ring RACQ or whatever the equivalent is in Vic and tell them its making funny noises and just want them to have a look also.

I sometimes feel something through the pedal that could only be described as a light tug on the other end of the cable... I have just put it down to gremlins under my bonnet - the same ones that make the timing change all by itself in diag mode.

Oh, in regards to it running like poo at low revs when cold, I reckon this might be related to timing... it seems to improve if the timing is advanced a tad.

yeah i did take it to someone but couldnt make it make the noise at that particular times. DOnt you hate when people think you are crazy lol. Well it was actually due to the fact that the surrounding areas where all flat and i couldnt load it up.

Um, a friend and i did some recording of the noise which is felt and heard. Does anyone know how to post sound bites. They have a bit of electronic interference but you can make out the noise and hear the wierd pattern and get a fair idea of the sound.
