Controlling the vvti isnt really all that difficult all you need is 2 auxilairy outputs, motec, power fc i think, there are a few that will do 2 outputs, or just wire it up yourself to come on at 3 or 4 thou or woteva is the best spot. not that hard yo. tis only a solenoid.

Hmm might go pick up the halfcut and have a tinker or at least start it up so i can hear it See wot it sounds like with no exhaust when vvti kicks in hehe

i found an URL to convert the MAF to MAP... but as u mentioned i doubt bout the resolution of the MAP compare with MAF... may b i will try out after i get my car done up...

    Cool Re: Beams 3sge Rwd

i have a red top in my 90s silly kar as well... it is responsive n powerful enough without the additional accessory although the car itself is heavy (if compare with my friend AE101)...

I think you'll find the Auris is the new Corolla but nice try anyway... and the 2ZR-FE still isn't as good as the 2ZZ-GE

agreed... rated hp n torque are very low compare with 2ZZGE... but dual VVT-i sound interesting...

Nada, a lot more complicated. VVT works like that, but the vvti solenoids are controlled via PWM, and have a range of angles they work through, and the ECU has to be able to keep track of, and control the angle over a variety of different loads/RPM. Much more complicated!

Yeh you may be able to do that with vvt. Not vvti. Vvti is constantly variable and not solely dependent on a certain switch point.

    cheers
