Ok sweet thanks I'll give them a ring see what i come up with
B&R brakes in castle hill is a toymods sponsor i should add, which stocks RDA. With discount for financial members.

Use R33 turbo brakes (297mm) and the matching 4 potters, but maybe with BA rotors, depending on the strut you choose. Look into RA6x, MX73, MX83, XT130, and even bits of RA40. A bit of time spent matching hubs, bearings, struts, etc. and you should be able to have yourself a reasonably priced brake upgrade. Don't bother looking for impossible to find parts, such as MS65 hubs, because if you do find them, usually people want far too much for them. A bit of time in a bearing catalogue, and on a lathe, can save you a fortune.
from memory s13 range werejust large single spot slide calipers were they not???

my ke30 is 5 stud all round
i used corona struts with crown hubs (ms65) with pug 604 rotors and hilux 4spot calipers
all bolts up and passed engineering no worries

hey i dont know if this is really what you are after but have had vr commodor disks machined and have had corolla bearings put in them( sleaves were obvioulsy made to make the bearings fit) along with a caliper braket to make vr calipers fit, i am the same boat as you as i have a commodore diff in the rear and i wanted all of the stud pattern matching, and bit the way i have a sr20de+t in mine. And it was mr enforcer that did my machining.
slippery when boosting-ke30 sr20 underway
I didn't see it mentioned yet but another option is Hopper Stoppers in Vic, they have some nice stuff and they can make to any stud pattern you want. That's the way I'm going, I just have to work out something for the RT142 IRS rear to make it also ford 5 stud.
Does take the fun/joy/pain of doing it yourself although may be more $$.
Thanks guys I'll look into all of those to see what comes up, i also was told that a later model crown hub i thinks its the Ms112 or something like that would fit on a RA celica strut only because the bearing on the celica is bigger so it would fit the larger hub. Is that true

just in case you haven't already found a solution to you 5 stud dilemma i have a scenario that will work but will require a lot of searching for stuff in japan.
1. First you will need AE86 or XT130 corona struts
2. Custom camber tops to suit the KE30 (if the AE86 ones don't fit, pretty sure they don't), or you can just use the KE30 strut top on AE86 struts the spring diameter is the same
3. Procure for yourself a set of "GX 72" (and be certain that they are GX 72 or else they wont
work) hubs, rotors and calipers.
These have the same stub axle as the ae86 and the same part number for the wheel
bearing as the four stud sprinter brakes, so they will go straight on
4. If you want a brake upgrade from there, then you can always go the 33 caliper and BA rotor
mod like with the MX83 but you will need to make a caliper bracket and ring spacer for the
hub.(just like when using JZX100 rear discs and 33 rear calipers on the rear of MX83)
its not much but i hope it helps if you need to know more give me a call on 0416265877 matt
wow great info there![]()
