Default Ford 5 stud disc brakes

Hey all I have done the common Hilux diff conversion on my little KE30 four door and the stud pattern is a ford 5. I would like to change the discs up front to ford 5 as well but I don’t know what other Toyota model has the same stud pattern. Could anyone help me out with this it would be much appreciated

Do the MX83 brakes fit onto the KE easily or will I have to change over the struts from another model?

All Toyota 5 stud is the same pattern as Ford Falcon. (not sure if early Ford stuff is wierd of not).

Pretty much Toyota pre 1986 is pre-AU offset.
Toyota post 1986 is AU/BA offset.

Also basically only Crown's had 5 stud pre 1986

Probably not but grab a spare hub for a rolla and knock the dtds out and fit a disc over the top to see if they have enough room to be re-drilled to suit the 5 stud.

Then just need a calliper to use and a bracket made to suit and your going again.

I'm actually yet to see a Toyota hub that can be successfully, and safely, redrilled from 4 stud to 5 stud.

The cast is only designed for 4 studs.

Swap around struts/hubs etc. to get your 5 studs AND a half decent sized stub axle. Corolla stubs are a bit weeny for serious treatment...

In reference to ford stud patterns, the actual 5 stud PCD has not changed between early and late Falcons.

The only thing that has changed is the hub size. In early Falcons it was smaller. From memory, the change in size occurred when the XA was released. Not sure of the size difference but it was only minimal.

Don't know if this is any help, but I can tell you the stud pattern on the camry (widebody onwards) is the same, along with the TR Magna onwards.

One more thing, before I joined this site I had a tyre shop try to tell me that our SV21 camry shares the same pattern as a falcon.......needless to say I now buy tyres elsewhere.

    Cheers.

    Whoops.

I should rephrase my previous statement to read "All Toyota RWD 5 stud is the same pattern as Ford Falcon"

That's Ok, I wasn't trying to correct you.

I've actually discovered that not many people are aware of this with the SV21's.

FYI - You might already know, but the PCD is 5/100 on these Camrys.

    Cheers,

    Andrew.
