Aircon into ae82 4ac

Looking at getting some aircon for my ae82 corolla that didn't come stock with it. I was looking at buying a system from a forum member from a 4age from an ae82 and according to them it wont fit without modifications. What is involved in putting this in my car? Can I get aircon from an ae92 or later?

erm

u'll need a lot of things though... off the top of my head,

a compressor which u need mounts and provisions for.. plumbing for the compressor.. plumbing for an evaporator, a cooling coil in front of the radiator somewhere.. if not mistaken u need a different heater core as well because of the new aircon switch u need for it.. plus u need the stuff under the dash can't remember exactly what.. and oh yea the electrical system and thermostat which is pretty much a more complicated dashboard..

it's a lot of work dude.. erm.. i'll try to get a proper list if i can remember to do it...

The main difference between an AE82 4A-GE, and 4A-C, is the position of the alternator.
4A-C alternator sits out front. 4A-GE sits behind the engine. Get a 4A-GE alternator and bracket when you get the AE-82 4A-GE aircon setup.

And yep I have a "new" AE-82 a/c kit sitting in the shed. The condensor was ratted from the kit but everything else is there. Never got round to fitting it to the wheelbarrow (AE-82)
