    Angry Sway bar mounting bolt

well was i undoing one the the mounting bolts for the frount sway bar and bang snapped the f***er, lol. Needless to say im pissed, just wondering if any of you guys have experienced a similar problem (snapping bolts etc) and what youve done to fix them. Im thinking either a easy out or a reversedrill bit, if it ends up being to much of a pain ill have to get it towed to a work shop

well any ideads at this stage would be appreciated

note to self: in future when removeing sway bar mounts make sure both sides of the car are jacked up to take the pressure off the bar and mount

Easy out and a bit of heat is probably the easiest method

Easyouts are usually the go for me. make sure you get a good set though, they are expensive but worth it (and dont snap like the cheap ones) Beg, steal or borrow one if you have to.

Also what has worked for me in the past - if the bolt isn't stuck, and you can get access to the part of the bold sticking out the other end, easygrip/pliers on the back and turn is another way to go.

Also in the future, bolts that look a little seized, tighten a bit first 1/8 turn then undo.

Weld a nut to what is left of it, give it a hit with WD40 or similar and work it back and forth a bit.

The heat from welding and hitting with WD40 while still hot will free up most bolts.
