7m-gte injectors are 440cc arnt they...
who knows what the difference between gen 1 2 and 3 injector flows ... by colour
i tested my gen 1 yellow tops and they flowed 340cc @42psi ???????? .... this seems to be way more than it should be .... no they havnt been changed! this engine came straght from an importer years ago and was running all std ecu etc
i have a set of light green Gen 2 injectors .... not tested... what is the flow supposed to be on them??
what colour/ flow are the gen 3
anyone got a set of good 7mgte ones for sale and what are the flow rates of them?
i take it they are a direct fit?
cheers

Punctuation is the difference between 'I helped my Uncle Jack off his horse' and 'I helped my uncle jack off his horse.'
7M-GTE are 440, I think 7M N/A are 380?
I'd be interested to know what the stock flow is on my 1G-GTE Rev 3... as its in bits I might fit some spare 7M ones I have lying around
I guessed they would be the same as the 7M-GE as they both produce similar power as stock.

Gen1/Gen2 1GGTE are yellow, and 295cc
Gen2.5/Gen3 1GGTE are green, and 315cc
7MGE's use the same injectors as 1GGTE.

Damn... the 7M-GTE oens are much lower impedance then the 1G/7M-GE ones
Nearly a great idea lol

The yellow 295cc 7MGE/1GGTE injectors are the same impedance as 7MGTE ones (2.7ohms)
The green 315cc ones are the higher impendance (13.8ohms) and don't require the ballast resistor.

common thing to do, good sized injector for a cylinder thats only 333cc![]()

How do people get around the impedance then? or doesn't it matter? The 1G one was 13. something. the 7M-GTE one was 2.8??? (ish all numbers from a bad memory lol)
Edit: I have seen you just put the impedances up... lol I was close... ish...
I have the green ones (well greeny yellow and covered in oil residue lol) as my engine is late spec.

Karma, did you ask a Q then? or did you answer yourself?

Errrr I don't know anymore...
I was just wondering if the 7M-GTE ones would work, as according to that data the impedances are different, surely that would present a problem if I was to fit them???

Cruz is saying that if you use the low impedance one you will require a resistor so that the ecu sees a high impedance load.
Unsure what would happen if you hooked a low impedance injector up to an ecu that wasn't designed for it. Anyone want to find out?![]()
it would blow the injector driver circuit up as there would be too much current for it
