    Default MA70 Front Mount Piping

Installing a 600*300*75 FMIC soon on my supra (7M-gte) just wanna know where people that have done this before have run their piping, i have talked to various workshops but none of them wanna offer too much assistance,

Some engine bay picks would be appreciated as well as details of where piping runs exactly..

if cannot post pics on here please send to [email protected]

    cheers heaps..

P.S i will be running 3" piping due to the car running 15 to 20 psi on a daily basis.

is your fmic inlets and outlets going to be on the same side?

i was running a modified ma70 cooler on mine before which was another core welded onto it sideways... both pipes went in and out on the drivers side.. one of the pipes (outlet from i/c) went under the bumper and up the side, inside the right front (drivers side) guard and out just next to the air filter/afm before the strut tower and right around into the 3000 pipe.. the other one i think bend back inwards immediately after the cooler with a 90 degree mandrel bend.. then straight back and another 90 degree straight up to the turbo...

On my MA70 I had the piping from the turbo go down towards the radiator, then run parallel with the bottom radiator tank than it did a U to go infront of the radiator to the cooler on the lefthand side, through the cooler then the rest of the piping which basically was the same root as the OEM piping did up to the throttle. I think I used 2 2/2" stainless steel mandrell bends, worked like a treat. I'll email you a couple of pics.

cheers guys, cheers for the pics Celicaboy..

my cooler has the inlets one on each side, and im looking to get rid of teh 3000 pipe all together, i dont really want to run the piping back over the turbo as the factory setup does..

I am prob gonna run the piping up side of the motor on the passanger side then up, and have a 180 bend back to the throttle body..

still thinking though so if there are any more ideas please keep them coming...

    Cheers

To do that with 3" piping will need the relocation of the coilpacks to the firewall and im pretty sure the pipe will foul the bonnet. I have seen this done with 2.5" pipe though.

    note: in an MA61.

thats sort of what i meant but i was gonna run the pipe down the side of the motor then come up at the back to a bend into the throttle... thats not a bad idea though.. didnt think of that.. i will be running 2.5" piping now anyway due to a lack of space and bigger lack of finances.. Uni books are so expensive

Just one question.. do you know if in that pic the alternator has been moved lower??

    cheers man
    keep them coming

Think the alternator is in the normal location, also does that turbo look smaller then a CT26 or is it just me?

thats a normal CT26 size... its the big fuckoff pod filter on the end that makes it look smaller than it is... it also looks a lot smaller when you pull all the shit off around it (i.e. the 3000 pipe)
