4AGE 16 valve reduction starter

That looks very much like a non-reduction starter. Infact it looks like a stock AE86 item. Could however be an AE86 4AGE one.

No, definitely reduction. The actual main body (not the solenoid) is much narrower in diameter than an non reduction starter of which I have about 5 of the various types lying around. It is interesting as I said in an earlier post, it is definitely a bit smaller than the reduction starter on my mates car.

Nope, because AE92 GZEs come with E58 or E51 (early) boxes, which have a massively offset starter motor. I remember because i had one, and went to change the starter when someone on the old forums assured me it was the same as the AE92 GE one i had.....

The picture you posted is definately a regular starter, not a reduction type.

How to spot a gear reduction starter, the fat electrical part of the starter is not inline with the visable starter gear.

2008 edits, I was wrong
Now having handled some 50 of the little bastards you can have an inline motor assembly and starter gear with reduction drive. Planetary gear setup, and like parrot says they have a nice zing when you hit the key 20v ones are awesome for replacing on your dead local botch starter.

could you please explain this another way, I don't quite understand what you mean.

EDIT: Oh I get it now, the main body of the starter doesn't line up with the pinion output of the unit. Oh also that workshop manual is great.
