Question Turbo Timers? Analog vs Digital

If this crazy 5MTE ends up working and not BHG'ing in the first week I'd like a turbo timer to keep things safe so I'm wandering is there any major funcational difference between the analog timers and digi ones? They're both going to stop the car after a few minutes and I don't feel the need to set it to the second.

    Analog $48:

    Digital $59:

I suppose for a 10 buck difference I may aswell go digi though or would a cheap digi do worse than a cheap analog? Thanks guys.

PS, the analog one says if the car is left in ACC and listening to the radio you should turn it off to prevent damage. Would this be the same with digi or is this some dodgy analog?

I use a really intelligent form of Turbo timer..
It's been a feature of all my turbo cars, even some N/A ones that are better suited to a bit of a gently idle before shut down..

I reckon it's super intelligent, (although some people would think otherwise), it's cheap as to run and it is really intelligent in that it works by gauging how hard the car has been driven in the last 5 minutes of the cars driving before shut down. It also has the ability to know how quickly I need to exit the vehicle and lock it so it adjusts the driving style for the last 5 minutes - thereby reducing the total idle down time required...

    It is my brain...

Seriously, besides being illegal, there is VERY few times that a Turbo timer is really needed.. If you are driving somewhere and just "HAVE" to thrash your car, think ahead and use the last few kilometres of driving to slow down and drive gently and let the heat dissapate and the oil to cool down if you have been thrashing it. Then when you pull up, turn the car off LAST - ie, gather your things together, remove stereo face etc, then get out of the car, wind up the windows etc - by this time, it will have had sufficient time to cool down and it will be safe to turn off..

You've never had to rush to catch the bus every morning at the park and ride have you? I thrash my car to get there on time (because I spend a sec to warm up the car) and then once I get to the park and ride I manage to get my things together and remove face etc in under 5 seconds, I have to if I want to make it to the bus in time and get a decent seat.

Why don't I wake up earlier you say? Been there and tried it, doesn't work for long and I feel so knackered for the rest of the day. Another 15 mins sleep in makes me a happy and productful worked

Seriously though, the timer would be good incase I do drive the car and I'm not used to the whole 'cool down' thing and I instantly turn the car off when I stop
