There maybe enough meat in the TB wall t bore it out to 60mm. There is in the 4AGE TBs.

What butterfly would you use then plonka ?? I heard you can use a 7mgte its 60mm and straight bolt on for 4age's maybe 3sgte also ?
What size is the hole in the plenum ?
If its no bigger than 55mm then no point upgrading the TB without doing that too.

That I can't help you with, I bought mine like that. I did once fit a 55mm butterfly valve from a Mazda Familia GTX engine to a bored out 4AGZE TB tho. If you get your hands on just about any 60 TB you shoult be able to use the valve. RB20's use 60mm TBsOriginally Posted by reece12

I used a 60mm gen 3 3sgte throttle body in my mr2 that bolts straight up to my center feed RMR so I can only assume it would bolt up in the same pattern as gen 2. Ill try to check as I still have stock gen2 intake manifold and throttle body in the garage somewhere.
sweet thats what i wanted to here.

I can't see it making much difference (apart from changing the balance of throttle opening size to pedal position), especially if you're running a factory intake manifold.
The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.
Its a flat out race motor bro, just trying out some stuff, custom plenum etc.... if i can use a gen 3 without mods 2 the plenum its worth it just 4 the data.Originally Posted by the_random_hero

yeah gen3 is 60mm and should bolt straight up, uses the same tps and iscv too. But as cruzida said if the hole in your manifold is still 55mm its going to make little difference.
I'll get a price on the TB for you.
If anyone's got a gen2 55mm 3sgte tb lying around, please pm me.
