Default NSW Drift Days on the radar...Starting THIS WEEKEND!

    Hey Guys,
My Original post is at the bottom. To save confusion.
Originally I tried to start a skidpan day for the Toymods crew,
but it turns out that it was very difficult to do a 1-off thing like that easily and cheaply.

However, it has brought many like minded Toymodders who love to slide their Toys
together and brought some folks out of the woodwork. which is awesome!

There is just not enough Toyotas at drift events PERIOD.
Every time I go, out of 40 cars, there is like 5-6 Toyotas...me being one of them.
And I am tired of people saying Nissans are the only cars to drift in.

    SO
I propose that we do a MASS ASSAULT on these over populated Nissan gatherings
and show em whats what! Together we stand fellas...

We start with NSW...if you know of any upcoming NSW drift events that could be of
interest to Toymodders, post it up...I'm sure the boys will +Rep you for letting them
know of other opportunities to slide in their cars.

As with anything, and moreso with drifting, practice is everything.
If we support these blokes putting on regular skid pan and drift days, then they can
keep on doing it, and we can keep on sliding it. And improove our sideways skillz!

Here's to seeing more Toyotas Sideways!!

    Cheers,
    Bart

    ***OG POST***
Anyone keen for some skid-pan action??
I wanna get out for some more fun-times in the next few months.

Was thinking of doing a "drift" day, as that is the most fun on the skid-pan,
    but open to any suggestions.

Just getting an idea of numbers at this stage.
The last Day out on the skidpan was a great success. Everyone of all driving standards
having alot of fun, and getting to know their Toyota's in a safe low-impact environment.

    Cheers,
    Bart

I'm keen as for some skids.
Wet or dry, but a bit of wetness is always good.

Everyone who is a definate go'er on this PM me your name and number
    and your availability IE Sat/Sun/Weekday

once we get some numbers I will work out a date that best suits everyone and is available
track-wise and post it up for everyone, rather than set down a date now.

    I'm excited Moira!

When would you be doing it?

I'd love to get my car out there, but it wont be rego'd till this weekend, and driving properly until the next probably...
And id need atleast a couple weeks of driving before i decide to get it in on some track action.

I.e. If you are doing this late april i'd be keen for sure. Otherwise ill get in on the next one around...

    Hey Smokey,

Mate I am just trying to get an idea of who would want to go and when.
Probably looking at late next month or after seeing as its the 27th today.
We need the numbers to be able to do it, so if you know anyone else who might be
keen for some skid-pan action, then let me know when they can make it too.

At this stage we have 6 people keen, thanks for that guys, we just need to get
around 12 more and we are set to go.

    Cheers,

I know one guy who loves skids, so i'll ask him. I know another guy who might be keen...

Though one of the guys car is unrego'd and the other guys car is a HQ ute with a worked 308, i dont know if he'd be keen to bring it along with a few toyotas... I think hes more of a summernats guy
