JZA-80 supra auto to manual conversion

as title my X mrs dad (aka dons bodyworks in George Town for those of you playing at home) has a auto non turbo supra, and he has a manual gearbox stuff not being used, We have heared a rumour that you have to swap looms to use the manual. Is this true?

no! All you need to do is swap the manual in and bridge the manual start switch. On the auto transmition you can only start it in a select number of positions like park and neutral. in these positions, the auto bridges the netural start switch to enable you to start your car. So all you need to do is swap the transmitions and cross these two wires.

you'll have to go find some jza80 wiring diagrams(google), i dont have any and look at the auto transmission. There should be a section on the neutral start section, then you should be able to find the neutral wires the bridge.
