    Default changing wheels on ke70

just got sum new wheels for my car, but found the fronts scrub the underside of the spring mount... i also tried a couple of months back putting ke55 wheels and i got the same problem. the new wheels are 15"x 6.5"unknown offset (has nothing to do with offset anyhow cos somes nowhere near the strut tower). is this only fixed by putting lower profile tyres on? how do the other guys get their 17's on if thats the case?

What size tyres have you got? I'm running 205/50 15's on 20P offset 15 x 6.5's. No real clearance issues.
you can check your offset as follows -

Pull the wheel off and lay it face up on flat ground.
Measure from ground to the hub mounting face (call this A), then flip over and do the same (call this B, make sure this is still to the same mounting face). Add A and B together and divide in half (call this C). The difference between C and A is your offset, If A is more than C the offset is positive if less its negative. You need to be pretty accurate with your measuring though.

Ke70's come stock with 155/80/13's (what my mates came with) so ideally, if your running 15 " rims, you need something like 195/50/15's

I have a set of 15" rims with 195/50 tyres on them, and ive test fitted them to a ke70, and we had no clearance issues whatsoever. mine are SSR Fins, and look good

Maybe they are a front wheel drive offset?
