    Default RA65 Central Locking?

Does anyone know of any places that sell central locking kits for RA65's? Is it even possible to fit it because they have a different style of lock to... everything

I had a look on google etc and couldn't really find anything.

    Thanks

just get the solenoids from an MX62 cressida or MA61 supra, a copy of a wiring diagram from either and replicate wiring yourself - is quite simple compared to electric windows.

You could get the universal kit from Jaycar and adapt yourself - plus the jaycar kit would have a remote.

note: if you get MA61 solenoids, the drivers door only works one way (edit: lock only).

Cost me $100 to take my RA28 down to the nearest Audio place, they fitted and wired it all up.

You can fit an aftermarket central locking kit to fit as long you take your time in fitting it(I've installed one in the SA63). You install the motor where the oem motor fits and have to drill one hole to fit locking motor as the aftermarket motors does not have any hole for it.

    I hope that helps.

It can be done with MA61 solenoids or with some stuffing around MX62 solenoids (they aren't a direct fit).

Stock drivers MA61 solenoid is LOCK only

Aftermarket solenoids can also be made to work...

I've used the Jaycar kit in my MA61 - replaced the factory solenoids with some jaycar ones.

I can now lock/unlock with the supplied remote. Really easy to hook up. The hardest part is finding somewhere out of the way to put the solenoid, but still being able to fix it to the locking bars.

    cheers

I have a couple of spare MA61 doors, which include central locking, electric windows and electric mirrors. They're pretty rusty but you can transfer all the goodies over to your RA65 doors easy enough. Let me know if you're interested.

how much are you looking at for them?

It would be a few weeks off depending on price but I'll give you a deposit on them if you'd like.

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

Not sure what they're worth really. How does $100 sound?
