Default [SYD] Recommendation of Aircon Workshop?

    hey all
with this heat ive decided its finally time to get my aircon system converted over to the new system and obviously regassed to suit.

Problem is, Ive heard a lot of varying numbers from 120 bucks to 380 bucks for the conversion+gas so im a bit wary of just taking it to 'bob the aircon specialist' up the road.

does anyone have a mate or a trusted (and cheap) workshop for this kinda work? how long would it take to normally swap it over? how much did you pay?

My friend just got his ms123 crown converted and regassed for like $85... and that was dearer than a normal car because it runs a dual mode air con system.

That seemed to be the approximate going rate at all the local places, I can't help you with names as I'm not in syd. However as far as price goes I certainly don't think you should be paying anything more than $80ish for it! That price should include checking for leaks too.

    Hi,

You don't need AC on a 4AGE - you know that deep down!

Hahaha, I know exactly how u feel. I got myself what I think is are all the parts to convert my non AC AE86 into a fully functional cool AC glory setup. Though I'm mixing lines and stuff from a 4A-C and 4A-GE setup, but I'm hoping it'll all work out.

But yeah, I have yet to get a quote of how much it would cost. I probably should have gotten it installed before summer. Parking my car out in the sun in the city is a killer to come back to, even with windscreen and steeringwheel covers
