cant upload avatar

Hi all
when i try upload avatar whether from my computer or a hosted one it says cant upload.??

you need at least 30 rep points before you are able to upload an avatar. you can have a profile picture, but that will only be viewable when checking your profile, not in forum posts.
have a read of the above link. (the faq says 40 but it was 30 so i'm not sure if this has been changed yet)

Voting for reputation is very important due to the fact that if you are not a member of the Toymods Car Club you will need to earn reputation to be able to do some things on this forum.

Users who are not members of the Toymods Car Club must get up to 40 reputation before they are permitted to post parts for sale or wanted ads. There are other restrictions in place as well for these users such as not having an avatar.

The other point is that if there is someone making a nuisance of themselves voting negatively for their reputation may put them into a group with less rights to the forum. An example of this would be someone who has been a bad seller in the for sale section may recieve enough negative votes so that they are no longer able to post for sale threads.

Privileged status is bestowed upon a user once they achieve 3 milestones:
1. They have been registered on the forums for over 30 days
2. They make over 100 posts in the Tech and General sections
3. The attain a reputation of 40

Privileged users are able to:
1. Post in the Classifieds sections
2. Have an avatar

Ideally, make useful posts in the tech sections. Putting up a detailed member's ride thread will also gain you a few if it's full of good information. Any other member can add to your rep if they like what youve said.
Rep is given by using the little scales icon in the top right of a users post. You then have two options, positive or negative rep and a field to write some comments as to why the rep was given. A few good posts can quickly see your rep rise to the "priviledged" level, with some users giving up to 20 positive rep points in one go!

but also rep can be very easily removed for misuse of the forums and or breaking rules

As someone who owns and runs a motor sport related web site and forum www.ovaltrack.net i thank those of you that answered my seemingly silly question.

Never have seen a site that has rep points before i was a little confused as to what it was about.
The message i got was " cant upload to image" not you dont have enough rep points so i assumed it was a computer related problem.

To those heros that gave me No advice but instead gave me negative rep points.Grow Up.!!!

If this gets me more neg points or thrown of then so be it..!!

With 34 years in motor sport I come here to get advice on this new world of 4cyl pocket rockets that im now playing and give help when i can..
Not to be belittled by boys with a little power.
