Default shock insert smaller than 328mm?

im after a shock insert, shortest ive had my hands on was an ST185 insert with a BODY LENGTH of 328mm. this insert was about 10mm too long, so i was wondering if anyone knew of anything shorter, or maybe someone has access to a monroe catalogue which ive heard has the dimensions. ive got a kyb catalogue but unfortunately it doesnt list dimensions.

i found some part numbers on the US gabriel website, found a few shocks shorter, one shock having a length of 317.5mm and part number being 72826 but i couldnt find a way to cross reference this with a car make, so dont know if its even available in aus.

    any help greatly appreciated!

Have a look at this page, TRD ftw, it lists the dimensions of all the shocks TRD make.
    http://www.trdparts.jp/english/list_...cartridge.html
You will notcie many with the the correct OD and rod diameter less than 328mm cartidge length.
If you look at this page
    http://www.trdparts.jp/english/parts_shock.html
    and this page
    http://www.trdparts.jp/english/list_race_shock.html
you can generally relate the ones on the first page to a given car. It also lists the damper rates so you can work out a hard or soft one. Then try and track down a shock similar from monroe, kyb, gabriel, etc.

    Hi,
Random long shot but, Suzuki Sierra front shock absorbers.

My brother has these in the back of his Sprinter, and that thing is VERY low. The shock is basically sitting at maximum extension even with the low height of the car.

    Cheers

That was from the Gabriel website (goto Ecatalog from the main page).

All that info and more was in my earlier post / the link to the Gabriel pdf!

I'm pretty sure Monroe has a 'match a competitors number system as well so yeah...
