Are you running a boost controller? Maybe you need to re-do the settings.
Hey I own a ST185 GT4 Celica, and recently installed a front mount intercooler with 2.5" piping. Now the boost is set to 9spi, so Ill drive along in 2nd at about 3000rpm and then put my foot down and it boosts 9psi quickly, then I hit 3rd and foot to the floor and it quickly shoots up to 5psi and stops for like a second and a bit, then pushes through to 9 again real slow.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this? It started when I installed the new front mount. It used to jump great to 9psi in every gear real quick.
Thanks in advance.![]()

If you haven't already then piss off the stupid VSV valve....disconnecting the plumbing to it is dead easy.......it's the 1st culprit to blame for screwy boost issues with a GT4

Thought it might, seeing as the new intercooler and the associated extra piping would change the boost characteristics, enough that the ebc's settings would be outOriginally Posted by Howieau
