Default RA28 blinkers on not blinking

    Hey
projects almost finished and I have 2 problems
1 the blinkers come on but don't blink, I have swapped 2 different blinker relays(near drivers foot panel) and still the same

2 where is the reverse light switch on a w50 , car is off jacks at the moment and only 100mm off ground. Can't get reversin lights to light.
    thanks

Do you have all the indicators connected? I had the same problem with my RA28, but I only had the rear lights connected. It would flash on, and stay on. I connected the indicators from the front bumper and everything there on worked fine.

    Hope it helps

Yep check if all lights are connected and globes working.
Also check your battery level, maybe charge her up. I say this cause my ke30 would blink them unless the battery was healthy.

    hmmm
I am not using side repeaters, just rear blinkers and 2 in front (its the Eleanora28 project im members rides)
Will check battery level although there is enough grunt to start the motor.

I recently had this problem when I was putting everything back in my engine bay after a respray.

The problem was I had the relay in the engine bay bolted to the wrong side of the engine bay and hence plugged into the wrong part of the wiring loom. If I recall correctly it needs to be on the intake/drivers side of the car between the ignition coil and the reservoirs so double check that.

Ah boken globe yields same symtons. And considering a busted glode is a break in the circuit; look at bypassing the side repeaters. Ie the circiut is open unless you cut the plug and join the two wires.

test by bridging with wire before cutting the plugs off.

    thats my guess.

    busted globe .... solid light
    unplugged globe .... solid light.

with you not using side repeaters thats what im thinking.

Maybe the flasher can has given up, if ra28s have them?

I think the electronic flasher units are not load dependent, ie ie should flash at the same speed with one or many globes inserted into the circuit

any ideas on why blinkers would only work intermittently??????
Sometimes they just come one and dont blink but other times they work fine.

    flasher is load dependant.

had my front bar off....no flash .... put the blinkers back on ...flash.

    intermitant flashing? bad wire?

    Problem solved.
Most of you are right, the flasher can is load dependent. I have included a hidden bulb and now the blinkers blink
    Well done guys

Sounds good in theory, but unfortunately the 2 wires to the side repeaters would probably be a power wire and an earth wire, so joining them together would do nothing more than giving you a dead short .

Good to hear you got it sorted though.
