I'm looking at doing a 1G-GTE into ra28, just wondering what engineers the guys who've done this used. I'm in Melbourne so obviously would need to be a vic roads eng. Any help would be great guys.

Incase you haven't already seen this, it's a list of engineers in Victoria.
Use Archie robinson in edelmaier st Bayswater (same st as Toyospares)
At Toyospares we did many of these and had no worries with eng rep's
He allso has our emission data for the 1GGTE. (no emission test needed) from when we were importing GZ21's

Good that he has the data for 1G-GTE as emissions was what he quoted as the problem for the gze into my car. But then again, he quoted an ADR that didn't pertain to my car nor the gze, so perhaps he was just too busy to take on extra work or couldn't be bothered?
Bill Malkoutzis did my gze and was very professional about it, thorough testing, good advice on fixing things to make them compliant etc.
ie: spend money on upgrading rear drums to discs so that I can test it as a factory setup, rather than keeping your drums and paying me extra to test a hybrid setup...

So what happens with interesting combinations, which were never availble from factory? Dont they touch them either?
Looking at my new sc14 with sadness now.... and the 3sge was just waiting for it.
If its factory they can use the original data (usely means engine newer than car and the car it gos into should be same or less mass)
If it is not factory you can still do it but may need to test and that is a big fat PIA and costly.
So try to stay as factory as posib and if you are about to spend lots of money on a mod speak to your engineer first to make sure you can get it passed.

You can do a one off test for about $650 pass/fail under some individually constructed vehicle category, same as clubmans etc.
